Another week down. That makes 4 weeks of nursing school in the books! I've lost count of how many tests I've taken. Grades are good, family is good, we're balancing and juggling, but we're doing good. GREAT news to pass along......Jacey won the First Grade Spelling Bee today. I heard it was a grueling match, but the only girl came out on top! (In the interest of full disclosure....there are only 3 in the first grade!)

It's a Sweet Life!

I could moan and groan about my bad day at school today, but I will spare everyone. (You're welcome:) Instead, I am going to count my blessings. I was thinking the other day about how blessed I really am......not everyone gets to marry their HS sweetheart and have 3 beautiful children...not everyone gets to live in their hometown and feel safe and secure......not everyone gets to get a college degree......not everyone gets to get a degree and decide they would rather do something else and get another degree:)......not everyone has family that loves and supports them......not everyone has in-laws that love and support them(the cake, fancy soap, and kohl's card are from my MIL, she also took my children to school this week AND packed their lunches!!!!) I am a blessed girl, and very thankful for it!
Thanks to everybody for the birthday calls, texts, and e mails!!!

What.....an update???
Hello to all. I know it's been so long that people have stopped checking! Things are busy and great here. Kids are back to school and doing well. For those that don't know.......I am in nursing school this semester. One test yesterday and two tomorrow. I hope I get used to the schedule soon. The curriculum isn't too bad, but the sitting still for 6 hrs a day is about to do me in!!!! I'm sure I will not get any better at posting over the next year, but check in every so often, you just never know when I'll post:)

Hardy Har Har!
To the smarty pants that love to leave nasty lil messages on my less than perfect blog, of our less than perfect lives.........I love ya'll:) Hopefully I will become a little better with blogging consistency, however to my dear (critical) sister........the sugar will still be consumed in my home. We can't all make our own homemade pasta sauce and wheat flour, gluten free, pureed prunes, soy enriched oh-so-yummy cake!!!! Now......that being said I will defend myself by saying not all of that sugar was for consumption. A lot of it was used to make graham cracker ginger bread houses that were not eaten. AND...... what self-respecting mother does not provide homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk for their children's first snow day?????

It's a Snow Day Charlie Brown!!!

That's right, a snow day. The kids are excited! They can't wait to sleep in and wake up to hot cocoa and powdered donuts! Why does food taste sooooo much better on a snow day? Another bonus.....my final was supposed to be tomorrow and is now delayed. I feel like I'm in High School again and so grateful to have another day to put off studying! "Snow day" is pretty deceptive. We have at least 1/4 in of ice on our deck. The first picture is Kacey's messy face....homemade choc chip cookie while watching charlie brown, priceless. The next one is Ethan and Jacey with tummies full of choc chip cookies watching charlie brown. The food picture shows what a nutritionally minded mother I am! Not all of the refined sugar is to be consumed.....a lot of it is to decorate graham cracker ginger bread houses. The last one is our "snow". I know it's hard to believe that it's all ice, but really, there is NO SNOW. All sleet and freezing rain! Enjoy this posting till next month:)

Best Halloween Ever! (Just for you- Lil' Mama!)

Halloween was great! We are soooooooooo thankful that Ethan is no longer
allergic to peanuts!!!!! Years past have been like being
trapped in the middle of a mine field. (Trying to avoid very well meaning people who would give Ethan a snickers or peanut butter cup. Seriously, I AM SO THANKFUL!) Enjoy the pics:)
